Dua for travel is a supplication to recite when embarking on a journey. It is a way to seek Allah SWT’s protection, blessings, and guidance during the travel and to ask for a safe and successful journey. Here is a dua that can be recited when starting a journey it is recommended when boarding any means of transport:

Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrineen. Wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqaliboon.

Glory be to the One who has subjected this to us, and we were not capable of doing so on our own. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

This dua expresses gratitude to Allah for granting humans blessings and the ability to utilize various means of transportation and acknowledging that our ultimate destination is our return to Him.

Translation:
“Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. Glory be to the One who has subjected this to us, and we were not capable of it. And indeed, to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and piety during this journey and for deeds that are pleasing to You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are our companion during the journey and the guardian of our family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the fatigue of travel, from seeing unpleasant sights, and from a bad outcome in wealth and family.”

“Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. (Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin. Wa inna ila rabbina lamunqalibun.)
