Dua for Grief and Sorrow | 23 Powerful Supplications

by zOrca

Dua for Grief and Sorrow: Healing Through Supplication | Grief is a natural and deeply human emotion. In Islam, sorrow is not viewed as a weakness but a sign of the heart’s awareness and connection to what is lost or troubled. Our beloved Prophet ﷺ experienced the most intense forms of grief—at the death of his children, the loss of his loved ones, and the rejection of his message. Yet, he turned to Allah ﷻ in dua during moments of sorrow, setting a timeless example of how the believer finds peace even in pain.

For every soul enduring heartbreak, despair, or loss, the Qur’an and Sunnah provide powerful words of remembrance and supplication. The following duas for grief and sorrow are authentic, rooted in prophetic tradition, and carry deep spiritual wisdom.
