Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, we have embarked on a journey today to learn and understand powerful duas for protection from the Holy Quran and the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). For each duaa, we will present the Arabic text, followed by its transliteration and translation, ensuring that this post is both enlightening and easy to follow.
Protection by reciting Ayat-ul-Kursi (Quran 2:255)
Ayat al-Kursi, also known as the Verse of the Throne, holds a significant place in our faith. Located in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:255), it is one of the most powerful verses of the Holy Qur’an.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized the importance of this verse in several hadiths. One of the many benefits of Ayat al-Kursi is its inherent protective virtue. In a hadith narrated by Abu Huraira and documented in Sahih al-Bukhari, the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.”[1%5E]
This hadith illustrates that the recitation of Ayat al-Kursi at night invites divine protection from Allah, safeguarding the believer from evil influences.Another aspect of protection attributed to Ayat al-Kursi comes to light in a hadith mentioned in Sunan An-Nasa’i: “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.'”
Dua For Protection From All Evil (Hadith Bukhari)
Translation: In the Name of Allah, with Whose Name nothing harms, on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
This short yet impactful du’a is a testament to the unwavering power of Allah’s name and His supreme authority over all that exists. Narrated in the collections of Hadith, specifically in Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah, it is recommended to recite this du’a three times in the morning and three times in the evening for seeking Allah’s protection.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) guided us to recite these Surahs regularly for achieving abundant protection against visible and invisible forces of harm.
